Talbot House is a United Way Partner for Financial Stability

United Way of Central Florida is building financial stability with hard working individuals and families.  This week C.I.T. (Community Investment Team) volunteers inspected programs that help people build their earning power.

Talbot House Ministries has an employment board (below) that lists all the area businesses where participants of their Homeless Prevention Program and Renewal Program have found employment.  The Homeless Prevention program is for people who have lost work unexpectedly and need help getting together savings to get back into an apartment.   The Renewal program helps people with addiction and other mental conditions  build their lives through employment credentialing and counseling assistance.  Many achieve the goal of regaining and maintaining employment.

The picture, third from the right, is of United Way of Central Florida volunteers inspecting the Talbot program as part of the 2014 grant process.
