Companies Loan Executives to United Way

Central Florida is benefitting from the loaning of executives to United Way. Nine companies have provided professional staff to help United Way of Central Florida raise needed dollars to achieve community goals for education, income and health. The loaned junior executives will work for three months out of the Highland City offices of United Way.

Companies loan the executives to help the community and also benefit from skill development for their personnel. The loaned personnel are trained in public speaking and are immersed in the health and human service community of Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties. Company CEOs say they support the program because their personnel return to the workplace with increased professionalism and a commitment to serve their community.

2012 loaned executives are from Publix, GEICO, State Farm, CCC Group and ArrMazz Custom Chemicals. Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Mosaic, Watson Clinic and Winter Haven Hospital support the program with a stipend.
